Another day off....

You know, it gets a little hard to get through the day when your plans have not worked out. But I guess God had this all planned out anyways. I was supposed to go to Sor today to help my teacher in a different school. SO I got there in time (8 am) and everything and then I called him and he said he had been trying to get a hold of me to let me know that there was no teaching today because it was a national holiday. Alright, so I had the day off! But nobody else does.... so I was a little worried that I would have nothing to do!
It's been good today, having time to myself and all. Its been really relaxing.

Anyways, yesterday two new volunteers came. Their names are Sarah, who is 19 and from Tenn. (YES! another American!!!) and Rachel, who is 21 and from Austraillia. They are both really nice, but I was surprised to see how they were feeling! They didnt seem sad or upset at all. I guess I'm just something special!

Last night we had another surprise party for Claires brithday. The party was by the river, and the gift was a cow. All of the volurteers were convinced and afraid that they were actually going to kill the cow right in front of us for our dinner, but instead they dressed it up in Senegalese colors and put a hat on it. They told us that the slaughtering would not be until Claires goodbye party... Glad I'll be gone by then! ; )

I dont have much to do today, hopefully something interesting is put in my way. And also that the day doesnt slow down because I dont have much to do! Thank you for all of your prayers and help and support. I really do love hearing from you all! Its really comforting! I hope you all are having a great day!

Love,
Lindsey

It's kind of interesting. My plans for today were thwarted too. I was finally going to go to the Memorial Art Gallery (I have wanted to go for a while) but its closed Monday and Tuesday) Oh well, as you said hopefully God will put something in my way.

I am very glad that things are going, at least, a little better for you. I am also happy thaty another American is there! Have a good day relaxing. Lots of love your way.

Peace
David

I have half a day off today (senior reflections) so that is kind of nice, only I don't know what I'm going to do, I don't feeling like working on assignments. Maybe I'll take a nap? Anyway, I hope you find something amazing to do today! And I'm glad there is someone else from AMERICA.

Oh and guess what tonight is the Chicago meeting! I can't wait to get my prayer partner! Always praying for you
Love, Heather

I hope you got a picture of that dressed up cow!

Can you imagine if they had butchered it right there in front of you all? OMG!

Hey Lindsey,
I was just thinking of you at this moment. And I know it's crazy, but right now I'm on the American Girl website, and I was playing this game about bees, and this girl who was making money from the honey. So I have a suggestion, the next time you have a free minute, or are just bored, go on the American girl website (americangirl.com), and play this game about bees (the girl's name is Kirsten), and listen to the music that plays while you play the game because I find it SOOO peaceful. Have a good day.
